Erik Ojala

Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary

Erik Ojala is the General Counsel and a member of the executive team at Calamos Investments. Erik oversees the legal and compliance function and is responsible for all legal, compliance and regulatory matters at Calamos Investments and its operating companies.

Erik joined Calamos Investments in July 2023 with more than 20 years of experience in the asset management industry. Prior to joining Calamos, Erik was the General Counsel at Harbor Capital Advisors and a member of the executive team, and also served as the Chief Compliance Officer for Harbor Funds and the Harbor ETF Trust. Erik was previously Associate General Counsel at Harbor Capital and Assistant General Counsel at Ariel Investments. Erik began his career as an attorney in the Corporate and Securities Group at D’Ancona & Pflaum (now Seyfarth Shaw) in Chicago.

Erik received a B.A. with honors in History and an adjunct degree in International Studies from Northwestern University, and a J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis where he also served as an executive editor of Washington University Law Review. He is a member of the Illinois bar and holds FINRA Series 7 and 24 licenses.
