John P. Calamos, Sr.

Chief Executive Officer, Global Co-Chief Investment Officer

John P. Calamos, Sr., is chairman, chief executive officer and global co-chief investment officer of the firm he founded in 1977, and took public as Calamos Asset Management in 2004. A pioneer in investment strategies and techniques to help manage risk, Mr. Calamos created a reputation for using investment techniques to control risk, preserve capital and build wealth for clients over the long term.

Mr. Calamos received his undergraduate degree in Economics and M.B.A. in Finance from the Illinois Institute of Technology. Joining the United States Air Force after graduation, he served as a combat pilot during the Vietnam War and ultimately earned the rank of Major. It was during his time in the Air Force that Mr. Calamos became intrigued by the risk management aspects of convertible bonds. By applying option price theory to the valuation of convertibles he was able to demonstrate the benefit of convertibles as part of an of investment strategy and began to attract institutional investors.

Mr. Calamos won the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® award for the financial services sector, Lake Michigan Area program for 2006. He is a member of the Investment Analysts Society of Chicago. A frequent speaker at investment seminars and conferences, he has been often quoted as an authority on risk-managed investment strategies in Barron's, Fortune, Forbes, Pensions & Investments, Financial World, Nation's Business, The Wall Street Journal and on CNBC and Bloomberg Forum. Mr. Calamos has written two books: Investing in Convertible Securities: Your Complete Guide to the Risks and Rewards, and Convertible Securities: the Latest Instruments, Portfolio Strategies, and Valuation Analysis.

Gary Black

Global Co-Chief Investment Officer

Gary Black, Global Co-Chief Investment Officer of Calamos Investments, previously served as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Investment Officer, and founding member of Black Capital. Prior to that, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Janus Capital Group from January 2006 through July 2009, and as President and Chief Investment Officer from April 2004 to January 2006. Prior to joining Janus, Mr. Black was Chief Investment Officer of Global Equities at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, which he joined as a partner in June 2001. Prior to this role, Mr. Black headed GSAM's U.S. distribution efforts. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Mr. Black was Executive Vice President and head of Alliance Bernstein's global institutional business. He started his investment career in 1992 at Sanford C. Bernstein as a senior research analyst and was named top analyst in his sector for six consecutive years.

Mr. Black earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, and a B.S. Economics degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

James J. Boyne

President and Chief Operating Officer

Jim Boyne is responsible for overseeing Calamos' operational and support infrastructure, as well as supporting Calamos' distribution businesses and strategy. He joined Calamos in 2008 and has almost 20 years experience in the investment management business. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel for McDonnell Investment Management, where he was responsible for management of the company's businesses and operations, including its legal and regulatory compliance programs. Boyne also had served as Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at Van Kampen Investments and was formerly an attorney with Jenner & Block. He received his law degree from Illinois Institute of Technology's Chicago-Kent College of Law and his bachelor's degree in Marketing from Northern Illinois University.
Nimish S. Bhatt

Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
20 years in accounting, tax and administration

Nimish Bhatt is responsible for all finance, accounting and tax areas of the company and of the Calamos funds. Before joining Calamos Investments in 2004, he spent more than 20 years in accounting and tax administration in the financial services industry. Mr. Bhatt holds a bachelor's degree in advanced accounting and auditing and a law degree in taxation from India's Gujarat University. He also has an MBA from The Ohio State University. Mr. Bhatt is a member of the Investment Company Institute's Accounting/Treasurer Committee and serves as a Vice Chairman of the board of National Investment Company Service Association.
