J. Christopher Jackson

Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary

J. Christopher Jackson is General Counsel of Calamos Investments. He is responsible for the Legal and Compliance functions of Calamos and its operating companies. He joined Calamos in 2010 and has 37 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Calamos, he was the Director and Head of U.S. Retail Legal for Deutsche Asset Management – Legal Division in New York.

He is a member of the bars of the states of Illinois, Florida and New York. He is a member of the American Bar Association and Illinois State Bar Association, for which he is a former Chairman of the Corporate Law Departments Section Council, most recently in each of 2021 and 2022. He is also a member and past Chairman of the Board of the National Society of Compliance Professionals (NSCP). He was named the 2006 Compliance Leader of the Year by the Compliance Reporter in its 4th Annual ARC Awards. He received a B.A. in Economics from Illinois Wesleyan University, an M.A. in Economics from Northern Illinois University, and a J.D. from the University of Tulsa.
