He explained that is impossible to avoid risk in the markets, so the Calamos team seeks to manage risk through in-depth research. When looking to the future, John believes that risk management will be the key to wealth creation. One way that Calamos has sought to manage risk is through defensive equity strategies that combine equities and equity-like securities (such as convertibles). The goal of these strategies is to provide a lower level of equity risk, with the opportunity for equity participation.
