Health Benefits

Calamos offers a comprehensive benefits package to all eligible associates and their dependents. Our benefit programs are designed to provide healthcare coverage for a wide range of services from maternity care, wellness & preventative care to physical therapy and alternative benefits.

Calamos offers medical coverage from one of the most respected group health insurance carriers in the industry. Associates have the option of choosing a PPO, Consumer Driven PPO Plan or one of two HMO plans.

Dental benefits are provided to all eligible associates and their dependents. We offer a traditional PPO plan with an in network and out of network benefits.

Vision benefits are provided to all associates and their eligible dependents through VSP. The vision benefit provides discounts on exams, glasses/frames and contacts. This benefit is offered at no cost to the associate.

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)

Healthcare FSA: Associates may elect to have pre-tax dollars deducted from each paycheck for eligible out of pocket expenses related to their medical, dental and/or vision benefits.

Dependent Care FSA: Associates may elect to have pre-tax dollars deducted from each paycheck for eligible child care or elderly care expenses.

Life Insurance Benefits

Associates automatically receive Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) coverage two times their annual salary up to $500,000. Associates have the option to purchase supplemental life insurance at group rates.

Disability Benefits

Short Term Disability (STD): Calamos provides STD at no cost to associates. Coverage provides 90% of the associate’s monthly base salary for up to thirteen weeks.

Long Term Disability (LTD): Calamos offers associates the option to elect LTD coverage. Coverage is 60% of the associate’s salary after 90 days of disability (subject to insurance guidelines).

Long Term Care Insurance (LTC)

LTC insurance covers expenses associated with home health care or assisted living facilities and it is a portable policy. Premiums are based on coverage amount elected and age group.
