Senior Retail Writer

Reporting to the Director of Retail Marketing, the Senior Retail Writer is responsible for developing and enhancing the messaging behind Calamos' retail marketing efforts (online and off). The suite of support will include (but is not limited to):

Product positioning
Whitepapers and thought leadership pieces
Investment and attribution commentary
Brochures, FAQs, Monthly & Quarterly Reports, Newsletters
Website and e-mail content
PowerPoint presentations
Other marketing collateral

The Senior Retail Writer will generate a wide variety of targeted marketing support for key Retail audiences including:

Broker dealers - wirehouses, independent/regional broker dealers
RIAs and other fee-based advisors
Direct institutional clients and prospects
Retirement plan and sub-advisory clients and prospects

Qualifications

7+ years of writing/marketing communications within an asset management or investment management firm, with 3+ years retail-specific experience preferred (within a large asset management firm, boutique investment firm, family office, etc.)
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Marketing, Journalism or English; MBA a plus, Securities licenses a plus.
Communications or other related field.
A deep understanding of the retail/advisor/wirehouse marketplaces; particularly as it relates to marketing programs for mutual funds and SMAs.
An engaging story-teller; one that can take a host of facts and figures and translate them into a relevant story that differentiates Calamos' products and services
Ability to work within a team; both within Marketing (with project managers, designers, web site developers, etc.) as well as other parts of the organization (Sales Teams, Portfolio Attribution, etc.)
